Who may use Noesis

Noesis is for adults using a non-clinical self-reflection product. Do not use it as a substitute for emergency, medical, diagnostic, treatment, legal, financial, or other qualified professional judgment.

Accounts and connection

Where a feature requires an account, browser authorization, or stored results, follow the flow presented for that feature. Installation steps are published only for a client named in the public supported-client record, which today is Claude, installed from the public plugin marketplace and connected from a browser or the desktop app. An MCP client, version, platform, or capability absent from that record is not supported.

Required purposes: the basis for using an account

When you use Noesis with an account, the five purposes below are the basis on which the service is provided. They are not settings you can switch off, and you cannot decline one of them and continue. If you do not accept any one of them, do not use Noesis with an account.

One, account-linked result storage. A result you or a connected AI assistant submits is stored with your account, including the instrument name, a source marker, the scored result, and your own optional confidence rating.

Two, research use. Your stored results may be used in de-identified form to evaluate and improve the service. This clause describes the scope of the permission; it does not state that any specific research activity is currently running.

Three, a running profile summary. A connected AI assistant may write and re-read one running summary of what you have chosen to share, kept as nine free-text sections: present context, current activities, history, relationships and support, stressors, strengths and resources, values and motivations, goals, and communication notes. A connected AI assistant reading it back sees only the latest one; each update is in fact stored as its own dated snapshot rather than overwritten, and the full history is included in your data-copy request.

Four, notes on results. You may attach one free-text note to a single stored result, kept with that result. A connected AI assistant reading that result also reads the note.

Five, journal. A connected AI assistant may save dated journal entries you choose to share, including the entry text and any category tags. Whether a particular assistant may later read a particular entry is a separate permission you grant per assistant, purpose, category, and date range.

Product updates, meaning occasional product email, are not a required purpose and remain a separate choice you can switch on or off. A small number of further items also require their own separate consent, are not required purposes, and are processed only after you agree to them explicitly on the signed-in account page.

To stop: you can withdraw all required purposes at any time, all at once, on the account page, after which the service no longer processes them for your account. Withdrawal applies going forward and does not by itself delete data already stored lawfully; to ask for existing account data to be deleted, use the account deletion request on the account page.

Service and terms changes

We may adjust the service for security, availability, legal, or product reasons.

We may amend these terms — wording, contact details, how we describe the service, or amendment mechanics — and for a material wording change we give at least 30 days advance notice by email to the address on your account before it takes effect.

No action is required for a wording change: continuing to use the service on or after the effective date counts as acceptance of the amended terms, and your connection, your account, and how your data is processed are not affected by this kind of change.

A different kind of change — adding a new required purpose for how your personal data is processed, or requiring an existing account to give fresh consent to the required purposes already published above — is never covered by that rule; it always requires a fresh, explicit agreement from you through the required-purposes flow described above before it applies. One change of that kind has already taken effect. Since 2026-09-03, consent given under the earlier version no longer covers these required purposes, so an existing account needs to give consent again. The reason is that when the five required purposes above were expanded on 2026-08-15, the consent version identifier was not changed at the same time, so every consent record on file, including those created after that date, sat on the same older version and could not be told apart. While an account is still on the earlier version these required purposes are suspended and the refresh token for its existing connection is revoked, so a connected AI assistant cannot reach Noesis for that account. Signing in and confirming once on the account page restores that access in full. Nothing was deleted when the change took effect, and giving consent again deletes none of your existing data.
